What Are the Operating Modes of Frequency-Controlled Pumps?

ΔP (Differential Pressure) – C (Constant) / Constant Differential Pressure Mode

The ΔP-C mode maintains the system pressure at the set value (Hsetp) consistently. Even if the flow rate varies, the pump pressure remains constant. This mode is especially recommended for systems with low-pressure losses and no flow rate variability.

ΔP (Differential Pressure) – V (Variable) / Variable Differential Pressure Mode

In ΔP-V mode, the system flow rate shifts linearly from the set value (Hsetp) to half of the set value (Hsetp/2). It is suitable for systems with high-pressure losses and varying flow rates.

Constant Curve / Constant Pressure Mode

This mode operates the pump at a fixed speed (rpm) activated through the control panel of the frequency-controlled pump system.

Variable or Constant Differential Pressure Mode Depending on Water Temperature

In this mode, the set pressure (Setpoint) increases or decreases based on system water temperature, adjustable between 50-80°C. Hmin is set to 30% of Hset. This mode is advantageous for energy efficiency and performance optimization.
